Angelica – Digital painting – Abstract art

“Angelica”, an abstract digital painting, stands out for its difference from my usual works. As already observed in“Mutisme“, she moves away from pure abstraction to explore a more figurative aspect. The work aims to give form to the concept of mutism. This condition contains a spectrum of meanings, all of them personal. This can encompass the unspoken, the secretive, even the impediments to freedom of expression in a context where eloquence seems compromised. Through this choice of representation, I encourage you to reflect on the complexity of silence. And so, to reflect on its various interpretations and its omnipresent presence in our lives. Whether the absence of words is voluntary or involuntary. Silence can be both a means of protection and a burden. In “Angelica”, I create a space where silence finds a visual form. Figurative elements interact with abstraction, creating a tension between the two. This duality reinforces the idea that mutism is not simply the absence of words, but a profound and multifaceted experience. “Angelica” reminds us that silence can sometimes speak louder than words, and that behind every person lies a complex story. This work encourages compassion and understanding for those who bear the burden of silence. Whatever it means to them.
