Transition is a diptych composed of two 80×80 cm canvases, created in 2025 using acrylic on linen canvas. Each panel can live independently, but it’s together that they reveal their full power.
The work explores the passage from one state to another, that fragile, vibrant in-between where everything can change. Warm hues – deep reds, burnt oranges, touches of black – collide and merge with powerful, almost violent creamy coulours, which cut through the canvas like flashes of instinct or truth.
“Transition” is a pictorial manifesto of change: accepting disorder, discomfort, loss of bearings… to better find one’s alignment. The two canvases oppose each other as much as they respond to each other, forming a dynamic tension that symbolizes the duality necessary for any evolution.
This work is also a meditation on balance, inner confrontation and self-invention. It invites us to embrace the momentum of movement, even when it disturbs, even when it upsets.
Powerful and expressive, Transition makes a statement in a living room, entrance hall or thinking space. This diptych will bring depth, warmth and dynamism to a contemporary interior, especially on neutral or textured walls (concrete, plaster, light wood…).
