“Chimère 7″ is part of a deeply introspective series, exploring the interweaving of ideas, thoughts and dreams that make up our inner world. This large-format (70×70 cm) abstract painting, in acrylic on linen canvas, combines paint and collage with a surprisingly organic texture: natural moss set in plaster and color.
The upper part of the canvas, dense and textured, evokes effervescent grey matter – a network of thoughts in constant agitation. This contrasts with the lower part, where colorful drips burst forth in an almost liquid movement. This trickle of vivid hues – acid greens, saturated pinks, deep blues – symbolizes nerve impulses, the mental impulses that flow through and animate our minds.
This contemporary painting embodies a poetic dance between abstraction and the living, where the imaginary overflows and materializes. Chimère 7 questions the boundary between reality and fantasy, the organic and the constructed.
