Blooming is an abstract painting in acrylic on canvas (format 30×30 cm), created with a knife for a spontaneous, vibrant gesture. The work is inspired by pansies, the softly beautiful, contrasting flowers that marked your childhood.
Against a background dominated by mauve and violet tones, touches of luminous yellow and brilliant white intertwine and burst forth, evoking an abstract bloom full of energy. Each stroke of the knife reveals linear, moving forms, like the memory of an imaginary walk through a field of flowers.
Blooming echoes a twin work, Pensée, with which it forms an emotional and visual diptych. It speaks to us of the fleetingness of moments, of those ideas, memories or sensations that blossom within us, then slowly fade away.
It’s an invitation to contemplation, slowness and wonder. A tribute to the beauty that emerges, transforms and disappears.
